Here at Spoons Toons & Booze, when someone tells us not to do something we pretty much have to do it. So we’ve put together a collection of cartoons from the 1930′s through the early 2000s that were never allowed to be shown on TV — or aren’t allowed to be shown ever again — because they’re too violent, racist, filthy, seizure-inducing, devil worshiping or just downright offensive. The censors can’t keep us down and we’ll be showing them all online just for you! Come and enjoy…
– Over 100 cartoon series from the 1930′s through the early 2000s and YOU get to choose what we watch!
– A special menu of cartoon episodes banned from TV! We’ll have Saturday morning/weekday afternoon cartoons aimed at kids plus Prime Time/late nite cartoons geared for teen and adult audiences!
– Compete in contests to choose which cartoons we watch and win tickets to upcoming virtual shows plus Ring Pops when we meet again IRL (unless we #getthatdrone)
– BYO cereal + booze
Ticket buyers will be emailed with information about how to login to the show and receive instructions for any first-time Zoom users on how to download the program and set it up for the best Spoons Toons & Booze viewing experience.
Join us at 7:30pm for our preshow of commercials/clips/etc and then we'll begin the show at 8pm with cartoons, contests, commentary and more!
A note on ticketing levels: We want our shows to be accessible to EVERYONE, including those (like us!) who have been financially impacted by shutdowns across the country. If you're able to pay for a ticket, we're incredibly grateful!
