SecretFormula is Knockin' On Heaven's Door with a double feature of classic comedies about the hereafter!
First up: Defending Your Life (1991). Recently deceased Albert Brooks and Meryl Streep must make the case as to why they should ascend to a higher plane of existence - or be reincarnated on Earth - in this Brooks-penned comedy! Rip Torn plays a defense attorney, Streep eats unlimited fettuccine alfredo, and we find out there's a lot of red tape to get into Heaven.
Followed by: Heart and Souls (1993). In another interpretation of the liminal space between life and death, when four passengers are killed in a bus crash, they find their souls bound to a freshly born baby, becoming his guardian angels. Now an adult, Robert Downey, Jr. must help his invisible ghost friends finish their Earthly business so they can find eternal rest. This ridiculous cast also includes Alfre Woodard, Charles Grodin, Elisabeth Shue, Kyra Sedgwick and Tom Sizemore.
We'll play some games, toast the Grim Reaper with a Drinking Game, and laugh our way through the demise!
