A double feature Long Kiss Goodnight and Lethal Weapon, two entries in the Shane Black Christmas movie universe!
Sure, we all know that Die Hard is a classic Christmas movie (we screened it earlier this month, after all) but it's not the only entry into the "Kick Ass Christmas" category. That's why we're exploring some other action Christmas classics, both of which happen to come from film writer Shane Black!
We'll be watching The Long Kiss Goodnight (2003), where Gina Davis stars as a government assassin with no recollection of her past who now finds herself on the run with private detective Mitch Hennessey (Samuel L. Jackson) from her former employers. Then Lethal Weapon (1987), the needs-no-explanation, balls-to-the-wall action film starring Danny Glover as a veteran detective partnered with an unhinged Mel Gibson to uncover a drug-trafficking ring.
Look, we're just saying if there aren't at least 3 explosions, it's kind of a boring Christmas.
