Spooky Scary Double Feature: Halloweentown/Mom’s Got A Date With A Vampire

HALLOWEEN 2020 - DOUBLE FEATURE - HALLOWEENTOWN-MOM VAMPIRE - BANNER (full res - for-web).jpg

TICKETS

It’s a Spooky Scary Double Feature night! We’re watching two classic Halloween flicks we watched when we were kids! The first film of the night is a certified banger; the second…we’ll go with “cult classic.” Plus: contests + our signature Drinking Game!

First up: Halloweentown (1998). Thirteen year old Marnie (Kimberly J. Brown) learns she’s a witch after secretly following her grandmother Aggie (Debbie Reynolds) to Halloweentown, a town populated by supernatural creatures who’ve been disappearing. Can Marnie and her siblings Dylan and Sophie help figure out the cause of these mysterious disappearances before it’s too late? Wildly considered the best Disney Channel Original Horror Movie, Halloweentown would spawn a series of 4 films about the Cromwell-Piper family and their whimsical world of Halloweentown.

Next: Mom’s Got A Date With A Vampire (2000). If you ever wanted to see that one aunt from Sabrina the Teenage Witch get romantic with the dad from The Nanny, well, here’s this 2000 offering that’s considered the WORST Disney Channel Original Halloween movie of all time! Two children set up their mother (Caroline Rhea) with a mysterious man (Charles Shaughnessy), not realizing he may be one of the undead. And a Carradine plays Van Helsing, so…this movie has it all!

During the show:

  • Dress as a resident of Halloweentown or wear your Halloween costume for our Costume Competition!

  • Trivia and other contests! Test your knowledge of all things spooky scary and win tickets to upcoming virtual shows and Spoons Toons swag!

  • A play along Drinking Game! We’ll have a menu of moments to look out for in the films and invite you to take a sip or shot. Cheers!

  • Comedic commentary and more! Plus we’ll keep the chat open throughout the films so everyone can share their thoughts and joke about the movies together.
